About Creative Scene

Creative Scene produces and programmes  inspiring and accessible family  activities, performances and events, in the places where people live, shop, work, socialise and play. We are the Arts Council England Creative People and Places project for Kirklees,  and we involve people in making decisions about  the arts they want to see and get involved in. This means people are involved in commissioning and in selection decisions.

We don’t run a venue but we do programme- into  community centres, village halls, social centres; and we commission companies to make work , drawing on the stories of our communities.  At present we are not booking or commissioning but aim to do so in early 2023.
